Who are we? |
UK Ecodesign 10 up 10up was an openspace event in October 2001 which brought together 80 people to share ideas and define a vision for the next ten years of sustainable design in the UK. 10 up connected designers from across all disciplines. Not only designers in traditional areas, like furniture, graphics and architecture, but also those who design business solutions and government policy, those who teach, research and write about design and those who use design thinking as a crucial component of positive change. See the results of the October 2001 workshop HERE One of the outcomes of the Openspace session was a list of potential projects. In January 2002, we narrowed down our list of potential projects to four:
Each of these had a team of people making some progress, but as at March 2003 they had all pretty much ground to a halt. What can we learn from this? A small group of dedicated people working in their spare time can do a good job of putting a one-off event together, but any more than that is really hard to achieve. If you want to take up any of these project ideas, then do get in touch! To contact us, please send an email to info@10up.org. 10up was a collaboration between the Ecological Design Association and a group of independent eco-designers. It was an entirely voluntary project and we would like to thank all the participants and the many people behind the scenes who gave their time and resources so generously. Please enter your email address below if you would like to be kept informed about the work of the EDA and 10up. We will not give your email address to anyone else. |
